The Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court released the top 10 typical IP cases of Shenzhen Courts in 2022 on April 26, World Intellectual Property Day. The case of ” MANI, INC. v. Wu for infringement of trademark rights” handled by our company was successfully selected and ranked first. This is a case of fake Japanese brand medical equipment. We first tried criminal raid, but the prosecution determined that the illegal amount is just 110,000 yuan, which was not up to the standard of criminal cases, and decided not to prosecute. Then we filed a civil suit, and only 150,000 yuan was awarded in the first instance. We refused to accept, filed a second trial, finally successfully obtained 3 million yuan compensation, and it has been fully implemented.
