Since China joined the WTO in 2001, the system of intellectual property has been improving rapidly.
But comparing with developed countries, the relevant laws and regulations of China are not sound, and judicial interpretations, and application of laws are not unified, and other issues like local protectionism are still deeply rooted.
In addition, the means of China’s counterfeit industry has been upgraded every year, rights holders need more advanced strategies and measures for brand protection.

A Investigation

1	Market survery investigation & basic info investigation	BOB investigators will conduct routine market survey (including websites), confirm whether there are counterfeit products of your company and present the report to the relevant IPR holders whenever useful information on infringement is found.
2	Investigation of identifying the clues of merchants producing and selling fakes	The investigation of identifying manufactory and the source of fakes from some existing clues (eg: information of selling fakes in the market)
3	Detailed Investigation into merchants producing or selling fakes	Physical investigation into specific merchants producing or selling fakes. （Investigation content）Organization overview，fake products’ model, confirmation of whether there are activities of producing and selling fakes, fake products’ inventory, warehouse location and so on.(Investigation goal）Collect useful information for the administrative raids against producing and selling the counterfeits.
4	Post-raid recheck	BOB would, at special prices, do post-raid investigations into the subjects raided by BOB within a year, to confirm the repeated infringements of them. IPR holders could decide the time for post-raid investigation.
5	AIC Record Inquiry (Basic info)	Obtain basic registration information about the company (address, legal representative, date of establishment, registered capital, business information, a piece of A4 paper)
6	AIC Record Inquiry (Detailed info)	Acquire the enterprise registration’s basic information. Besides the above simple report, we also acquire the changes of registration records,annual review, shareholder’s list, investment ratio and other details on several pieces of A4 paper.)
7	Credit investigation	Investigation content Enterprise form: registration information, historical evolution, investors, etc. Business condition: products and services, production and sales, etc. Financial situation: asset lending table, statement of profit and loss, etc. Others: acquired certifications, etc.
8	Investigation into unauthorized trade name	Confirm first the existence of the enterprise, and then its profile, scale, business scopes, TMs, and the use of the TMs & the enterprise name.
9	Preliminary Investigation	The general market census aiming to confirm the infringement levels of some target product(s). The general census of this kind could be conducted in certain cities or/and certain wholesale markets.

13	Assisting Identification and Other Follow-up Affairs	(A) For some ex-officio raids carried out by administrative enforcement authorities, the authorities might request BOB to get the identification from the IPR holders. After passing the identification results to the authorities, BOB would also try to get the punishment decisions from them. (B) Products infringing on the rights of IPR holder B are found in the raid actions conducted by BOB on behalf of IPR holder A, the authorities might take away all the products and ask BOB to contact B for the identification. After passing the identification results from B to the authorities, BOB would try to get the punishment decisions from them.
14	Notarized sample purchase	In order to keep the infringing products as material evidences, when it’s necessary, BOB would invite the notary public join the process of sample purchase and the notarization of the whole purchase process would be made.
15	Webpage notarization	Requesting the Notary Public Office to notarize the websites and webpages contain infringement information, and keep them as evidences.
16	Media report	Arrange media reports after lawsuits or administrative raids
17	Exhibition investigation	Investigation during the comprehensive or professional exhibitions like Canton Fair to find infringing products, and collecting promotion materials. And take raid actions when spotting counterfeit products.
